Who I am
This is the personal website of Daniel Ronan, based in the UK. I am the controller for the personal data described here. To ask anything about it, send me a message through the contact form.
The contact form
When you send a message, I receive your name, your email address and what you wrote. I use them only to read and reply to your message, which is in both our legitimate interests. I don't add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone else.
Messages are delivered to my inbox by Resend, an email service that processes them on my behalf and may do so in the United States under standard data protection safeguards. I keep messages for as long as the conversation needs, and delete them within 12 months of our last contact.
To stop spam, the server briefly remembers the IP address a message came from, for up to 10 minutes. It isn't stored anywhere.
Analytics
I use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, doesn't follow you across other sites and only shows me totals, such as which pages are visited and from which countries. Visits are told apart by a short-lived value that is discarded after 24 hours.
Hosting and content
The site is hosted by Vercel, which handles each request, including your IP address, to serve pages and keep the site secure. Its content and images are served by Sanity. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
Cookies
This site doesn't set cookies for visitors, so there is nothing to accept or decline.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and you can object to how I use it. Send me a message and I'll respond within a month. If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
